It uses Beta Carotene rather than Vitamin A so there is no threat of Vitamin A toxicity. Beta Carotene is an anti-oxidant that is converted to Vitamin A after consumed. It's powder form allows for evenly coating on insects and foods and easy mixing. Rep-Cal packages their supplements in durable airtight containers for easy storage and use.

It is recommended to use of both Herptivite and Calcium with Vitamin D₃ for your animals. With that combination, no other supplementation is needed.

How to use with feeder insects: Combine a 1:1 ratio of both Calcium with Vitamin D₃ with Herptivite in a container and shake. Dump feeder insects directly into the container with supplements and gently shake until insects are evenly coated. The insects are ready to feed out!

How to use with other foods: It is recommended to use ½ tbsp. of Herptivite and ½ tbsp. of Calcium with Vitamin D₃ per pound of food. Shake with vegetables and/or fruits to coat with vitamins, or directly mix into other prepared foods and pastes.
