About This Product
EcoTherm Phase Change Shipping Packs are designed to help keep temperatures stable during shipping. The product has a high specific heat—it takes a lot of energy for it to change temperature, and turns from solid to liquid at 74°F. EcoTherm Shipping Packs will help buffer temps when using ice or heat packs, and help avoid extreme temperature swings during shipping.
Each pack measures approximately 4 x 6.5 x 1 inch.
How to Use:
IN COLD WEATHER: Ship in liquid state (soak in water warmer than 74°F) with heat pack
IN WARM WEATHER: Ship in solid state (keep below 74°F) with ice pack
Warnings/Caution:
TO DISPOSE: Simply dispose of the liquid as you would food waste - it's organic and even compostable! The plastic envelope can be recycled.

Great!
Put these in several shipments for invertebrates in the past year or so and they’ve always arrived happy and healthy. Spiderlings, mature male tarantulas, and even a huge colony of roaches, in early December (2025) - all arrived alive. Paired one of these with a 72 or 96-hour heat pack, in case of delays. Someone even shipped my original phase pack back with a different spider and it arrived in perfect health, despite the cold temps. Highly recommend using these. I’m ordering more for these higher summer temps. Cold packs can be risky for heat dependent invertebrates, but even they can’t handle it if it gets too hot during shipping.
